What's in a label? After a varied musically creative career I have now found myself struggling for definition of what I do. So I have concluded 'I am a Music Creator & Educator'. Here's a bit of info on how I got here...

My background includes achieving my BA Hons Music Performance at Dartington College of Arts, followed by an early career as a singer-songwriter-performer. I worked as a session singer & cellist and wrote, sung and performed with original bands including my original folk band (The Laura Dugmore Band) from 2008 - 2013.

I spent time travelling on a Songwriting Trip around Central & North America, travelling through Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico & Canada culminating in a gig at the renowned Ski Resort, Whistler.

Since returning I have worked on music based projects including Associate Artist Exeter Phoenix: #4TheLove project; EXE project with Tania Kovats and Beauty Unseen. I have also recored an EP 'Hush Now' based upon the challenges of becoming a parent with an invisible illness.

All my creative projects are now based around two things;

#creativity and #wellbeing

Alongside my music I have been building up my Music Educational Projects under the name of Lofts Music Shed, working as a music workshop leader on a variety of projects for young people including Young Singer Songwriter Club, Plymouth Music Zone, South West Music School to name a few.

The grown up years of getting married and having a baby meant life changed pace including the welcoming of a chronic illness. This created many challenges and sparked much inspiration and so I shifted from singer-songwriter-performer into the world of commissions, educational and creative projects based around wellbeing.
